Mr. Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra state, has left the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Obi announced his resignation in a letter dated 20 and addressed to the party’s National Chairman.

Obi explained his decision to withdraw from the presidential race in a letter seen on Twitter.
