The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has revealed that it has identified the perpetrators of the attack on members of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association in Gwagwalada Area Council and will ensure that justice is served.
After four members of the association, including their chairman, were killed last week, police launched an investigation.
They were reportedly on their way from Niger State’s Izom market when gunmen ambushed them near Daku village in the FCT’s area council, abducting four others and injuring many with gunshot wounds.
Ben Igwe, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Operations, revealed that the gunmen followed the victims and took their money.
“They trailed them and collected the money of the cows they sold from them. We are working on it. We have discovered the source and we would ensure they are apprehended. I don’t want to disclose what we are doing on the matter.”
