Gunmen Abduct couple in Imo, kill two police men.

Reports say Unknown gunmen assassinated two police officers assigned to a couple in Owerri, Imo state.
According to lindaikejisblog, the couple and security personnel were on their way to Owerri Airport on Monday night, February 21, when they were assaulted by gunmen who killed the security officers before kidnapping the pair.

The pair was then released by the perpetrators, who dropped them off in Ukpor, Nnewi South local government district.

According to a family member, the robbers inflicted significant cuts on the spouse and also fired gunshots at the driver, who is presently receiving medical attention in the hospital.

 “They released them around 11pm. One of their relations received a call from one of the victims to send the driver to come and pick them up at Ukpor where they dropped them off.

We are traumatized. I flew back to Anambra last night. I thank God they are alive and back to their community.”the family source said
