Military Aircraft Crashes in Texas

In Texas, a pilot instructor and a student were both hospitalized after ejecting from a military training jet that crashed in a residential neighborhood near Lake Worth, Texas, on Sunday.

The military jet was a Navy T-45C Goshawk training jet carrying an instructor and a student.

They were on a routine training flight that took off from Corpus Christi International Airport. The crash’s cause remains unknown. A safety crew is on its way to the location to inspect the damage.

According to CNN, officers were notified of the crash in the 4000 blocks of Tejas and Dakota trails at 10:53 a.m. (11:53 a.m. ET) and found one person who had ejected from the military training jet that had become entangled in power lines. Another person ejected from the training plane and was discovered in a nearby area.

More so, the two were brought to a nearby hospital for treatment. CNN also reported that the instructor is in stable health. The student’s status is unknown, but according to the Navy, he is alive and being treated in a medical facility.

The crash site is mostly restricted to the backyard areas of the three residences involved, and no people were wounded.


According to Fire Chief Ryan Arthur, none of the residences involved in the incident were directly harmed. According to him,
