According to NBC, the young girl noted that several of her classmates were just eating cheese sandwiches for lunch.

Jeanise teamed up with her mother, Rosalynd Manley, after learning that some of her classmates couldn’t afford lunch.

She spoke with her mother, who is also a teacher at her school, and together they were able to raise donations on Facebook to assist disadvantaged students at her school who couldn’t afford to pay for their lunch.

Hundreds of people donated money to their cause in support of their initiative, surpassing expectations.

Total News 24 states that the duo’s initial goal was to raise $800 (N330k), but within a week, they had raised more than $4,300 (N1,7M).

Manley began writing when he was five years old. She is also a model and entrepreneur who has her own clothing brand, EmauniJ Collection, which she designed herself.
