Reports say Journalists were teargassed at the All Progressives Congress national convention venue.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, accredited journalists were also denied entry to the event’s Eagle Square venue by security agents.
According to NAN, security agents who claimed to be acting on orders from above barred dozens of journalists who had gathered at the entrance.
Security agents fired tear gas canisters at the journalists, who refused to leave despite their accreditation tags.
Meanwhile, seven presidential candidates running on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform have rejected the five names purportedly submitted to President Muhammadu Buhari in order to select a consensus candidate.
They insisted nobody consulted them before the governors arrived at the decision.
