As the army exercise Golden Dawn Continues in the South East, Soldiers in Onitsha, Anambra State, assaulted Nollywood actress Chiwetalu Agu on Wednesday for wearing a shirt with Biafra slogans.
In the popular footage that’s Now Viral on social media, Agu, 65, is seen wearing a Biafra uniform and going near a green bus when two armed soldiers wrestle him to the ground and drag him.

According to reports, the actor was in Onitsha on a charity expedition, where he frequently distributes meals to the less fortunate, when he was apprehended by troops.
“He was sharing food with some less privileged persons at Upper Iweka when the soldiers approached him and arrested him. He was manhandled and arrested and taken to their barracks,” a source said.

Nigerian security personnel have recently prohibited anyone from wearing Biafra uniforms, despite the fact that the South-East continues to confront security issues.
Meanwhile, the actor’s detention has been confirmed by the Anambra State Police Command. Ikenga Tochukwu, the Police Public Relations Officer, verified the occurrence, saying, “The command is aware of his arrest at Upper Iweka in Onitsha. However, we don’t know why he was arrested.”.
