2023; Dokpesi Supports North for President.
High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Chairman Emeritus of DAAR Communications Plc, has thrown his weight behind a president of Northern Extraction.
Dokpesi, who is also a member of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Board of Trustees, announced this in an interview with journalists in Abuja on Saturday as part of celebrations commemorating his 70th birthday.
He stated that he supports a northern presidency in the 2023 elections because they have been marginalized since the death of former President Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua in 2010.
According to him, returning power to the South in 2023 will not be fair or just, even if President Muhammadu Buhari would have done so in eight years.

He stated that his support for the northern presidency was consistent with the PDP’s agreement at the party’s convention in 2006.
