Victor Osimhen Wins Serie A’s Player of Month.

Victor Osimhen of Nigeria has been named the Italian Serie A’s Player of the Month for September.

Osimhen recovered from a terrible start to the 2021/2022 season in August, when he was sent off in the first match against newcomers Venezia, forcing him to miss the match against Genoa.

Since then, the Super Eagles striker has become a nightmare for opposing defenses, netting seven goals in eight appearances for Napoli in September alone.

His first goal of the season came against Udinese, and he followed that up with a brace against Sampdoria and another against Cagliari.

Aside from his goals, Osimhen has helped Napoli achieve a perfect start to the season by winning two penalties.

Osimhen also scored three goals in the Europa League, including a brace against Leicester City, on the continental level.
