Man (25) Lands in Kirikiri for Having s€× with an 11-year-Old.

Oyinchimaobi Agu, a 25-year-old male, was apprehended by police in Lagos.

The man was apprehended after he was allegedly seen having s*x with an 11-year-old girl inside an unfinished structure.

According to P.M.EXPRESS, the event occurred opposite Olugbuwa Wagbara Estate, Igbogbo area of Ikorodu, Lagos, where they stay.

According to the Police, the suspect, Agu, enticed the victim to the unfinished building and engaged her in the act before they were apprehended and handed over the area to the Police.

He was then taken to the Police Command’s Gender Section for questioning. He admitted to doing so with the girl’s consent while being interrogated there.

He was then taken to the Police Command’s Gender Section for questioning. While being probed there, he admitted to doing so with the girl’s consent.

However, the police found him guilty and charged him in the Ogba Magistrates Court with statutory rape by engaging the girl in the conduct when she was a minor.

The Court did not hear his plea after the prosecutor, Supol Victor Eruada, requested that the case be referred to the DPP for consultation.Mrs. M.O.Tonimola, the Presiding Magistrate, ordered his remand at the Correctional Centre in Kirikiri, Lagos, without the option of bail.

The Court further ordered the prosecutor to copy the file and transmit it to the DPP, while the case was deferred until the DPP’s report was complete on November 6, 2021.

If the DPP considers him liable and recommends his trial for the alleged offence exceeding jurisdiction, the case will almost certainly be referred to the High Court.
