Nnamdi Kanu Trial; Kanu Pleads Not Guilty to FG’s Amended Charge

Nnamdi Kanu, the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has pleaded not guilty to the seven-count amended indictment brought by the Federal Government against him.

Kanu, who was docked before trial Justice Binta Nyako, stated after the charge was read to him in open court that he was innocent of all the allegations leveled against him by the FG.

This occurred on a day when the agents, flatly refused to admit even one journalist into the courtroom.

According to the Vanguard, the embattled IPOB leader entered a new plea to the amended charge at 10:45 a.m.

Security agents from the DSS, Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Nigerian Army had closed all roads leading to the high court buildings, which is adjacent to the Federal Ministry of Justice Headquarters, as early as 4 a.m.

Meanwhile supporters of Nnamdi Kanu failed to miss the court action. They were seen outside the Court premises singing songs to so show their support.

Though heavily armed security officers originally stopped court employees from entering their offices, they were later allowed to do so after they complained.
