An operational vehicle belonging to the police team was said to have been burnt.

Some accounts said the gunmen also tried to burn down the Isiokpo divisional police officers but were repelled by the officers on duty who were on red alert before they invaded the station.

As at the time of writing this report, there hasn’t been any official confirmations. But a popular journalist in Port Harcourt said he visited the area, and didn’t see the usual check point at the said location. This is what he wrote on his Facebook page “Just visited the Omagwa check point. I saw that there were no security there, I saw that a salon car was burnt, I saw that the checkpoint was vandalised and some drums pushed down..but I can’t confirm if anyone died”
