Huspuppi fingers Abba Kyari in a Bribery Allegation.

Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, aka Hushpuppi, Nigeria’s infamous accused fraudster, who recently pleaded guilty in the United States, has revealed how he bribed Nigeria’s celebrated Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari.

A criminal complaint was filed against Hushpuppi in February, according to the US Department of Justice, and court documents revealed that Abbas, a 37-year-old Nigerian native, pleaded guilty on April 20.

Abbas’ guilty plea, which was entered late Tuesday, details his role in the school-finance fraud, as well as multiple other cyber and business email compromise operations that resulted in losses totaling more than $24 million.

According to court documents, Abbas admitted to paying bribes to Nigeria’s police commander, Ibrahim Kyari, to have one of his rivals arrested and imprisoned in Nigeria over a dispute over a $1.1 million swindle of a Qatari businessman.

The latter called the claim “untrue” and “an attempt to smear his reputation.”In response, some social media users took to their accounts on Thursday to offer their thoughts on the claim.Some of the reactions are listed below.

Meanwhile, DCP Abba Kyari, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, has responded to claims made by Huspuppi, denying taking money from her.

According to US court documents obtained by Vanguard, Abbas allegedly paid off Kyari to arrest a coworker with whom he had a feud.However, Kyari admitted to being aware of the money disagreement, stating that Hushppupi’s colleague was arrested as a result of the conversation.
