President Buhari Promises to Constitute The Board of the NDDC.
President Mohammadu Buhari has assured the people of Niger Delta that he would constitute the board of the NDDC soon. The president said the board would be constituted as soon as the forensic audit report is submitted and accepted.
The president said this on his official handle on Koo. The president stated that the NDDC had been bedeviled by so much mismanagement in the past, which is what gave rise to the audit in the first place.
He said ‘Based on the mismanagement that had previously bedeviled the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), a forensic audit was set up and the result is expected by the end of July, 2021″.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari had, in 2019, ordered a forensic audit of the NDDC’s operations, which uncovered allegations of mismanagement of funds.
