Buhari was cited as saying that Nigeria was doing a lot to address the security concerns that the country was facing in many sections, as well as food security, by investing heavily in agriculture.

On her part, Scotland said the Commonwealth had developed programmes on agribusiness, adding value to agriculture products for young people to get involved, climate change, criminal justice reforms, police reforms, and security, and invited Nigeria to benefit from technical assistance that can be provided.

She went on to say that because Buhari is Africa’s anti-corruption champion, the Commonwealth has established anti-corruption benchmark instruments and would like to collaborate with Nigeria in both the public and commercial sectors.
