Taliban News Today; 20 Killed as Fight Continues.
Amid ongoing combat between local resistance forces and the Taliban in Afghanistan’s Panjshir province, at least 20 civilians were murdered on Tuesday, according to a report.
Recall that Fresh fighting had been reported in Afghanistan’s Panjshir Valley, the last pocket of land held by the Taliban.
Panjshir Valley, located north of Kabul, is one of Afghanistan’s smallest provinces and the only one that has not been conquered by the Taliban.
The traditional anti-Taliban stronghold is located among mountain peaks and is home to between 150,000 and 200,000 people.
Furthermore, communications throughout the valley have been disrupted.

Meanwhile, thousands of Kandahar residents took to the streets to protest a Taliban diktat that allegedly ordered them to abandon their houses within three days.

Residents claimed they were warned they would be unable to take any of their possessions with them.
On the international stage, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken pushed back during a Congressional hearing against strong Republican criticism of the management of the military pullout from Afghanistan.
He said that the Biden administration inherited a pact with the Taliban to terminate the war but no plan to implement it.
The Taliban have expressed gratitude to countries that have offered humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and have stated that they will work with them.
They did, however, caution that they do not want any country to “pressurize Afghanistan, because pressure does not work.”
