Powa National President, Push for Improved Welfare.

Wife of the Inspector-General of Police and president of the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Hajiya Hajara Usman Alkali Baba,

The wife of the Inspector-General of Police and president of the Police Officers Wives Association (POWA), Hajiya Hajara Usman Alkali Baba, arrived Port Harcourt on three-day working visit to familiarise herself with the state command and assess the Police Children Schools in the state, with a view to improving their welfare and general standards.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Eboka Friday with his entourage received the POWA national president Hajiya Hajara Usman Aklali Baba who came on a visit to Port Harcourt with staff officers and the national executive members of POWA from the POWA national secretariat, Abuja.

Hajiya Hajara appreciated the Commissioner of Police, and the entire workforce of the command for their commitment and steadfastness in effectively combating crimes and criminality in the state.

POWA president visits Port Harcourt

She also admonished POWA members to continue to support and pray for their husbands who are always in the battle field, even at this challenging time.

The POWA national president, during her inspection visit to the Police Children Schools also listed other activities such as flag-off of Cervical Cancer Screening programme, Inspection of POWA facilities to commensurate with widows who loss their husband during the Recent attacks on police officers.
