Zamfara Emir Kidnapped Along Kaduna-Abuja highway

It appears bandits Alhaji Hassan Attahiru, the Emir of Bungudu in Zamfara State, was kidnapped on Tuesday along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway.

According to reports, the attackers opened fire on the emir’s convoy and successfully demobilized some of the vehicles, including the traditional ruler’s, before he was dragged away.

According to sources, the emir was kidnapped at Olam Factory, a few kilometers from Kaduna, while returning to his domain after attending an event in Abuja.

According to another story, the robbers ambushed the emir’s convoy, and as a result of the attack, a policeman assigned to the convoy was killed during the exchange of fire with the criminals.

The Nigerian Tribune reports that only the traditional ruler was kidnapped, while some of his attendants who were injured were brought to the hospital.

However, There was no formal confirmation from the police or the state administration at the time the report was filed.

However, an anonymous source in the emir’s palace verified that the emir’s convoy was targeted on Tuesday evening.

‘We are trying to a certain the condition of our monarch and his aides , By tomorrow, we will be able to get more facts,” he said.
