Vigilante Group Kills 11 Bandits in Kogi

The Kogi State Vigilante group has put an end to the reign of terror in various portions of the state’s Koton Karfe Local Government Area.

Officers from the State Vigilante Group murdered 11 bandits and detained three others, while three kidnapped victims were safely rescued.

On the basis of intelligence, security operatives are believed to have apprehended Inspector Abdullahi Saidu, a Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps officer who allegedly supplies the criminals with weapons and information to carry out their horrible crimes with the help of a friend.

Meanwhile, security agencies are believed to be on the lookout for kidnappers who are suspected of carrying out an attack on particular individuals in Kabba.

The State Government stated that it was in contact with security services and that the Governor had already issued a marching order for those kidnapped to be rescued and the criminals apprehended.

According to a source within Kogi State Security circles who did not want his identity published, they were making “encouraging headway” in their operations against the kidnappers.
