“Stop Begging Money on Social Media” – Twitter User to Davido.

Davido, a popular Nigerian musician, has received nearly N100 million in birthday gifts from friends who have been contributing to the superstar.

This comes after he asked his friends to send him N1M each as a gift for his 29th birthday, which is on November 21st.

However, a Twitter user known as @Eminez 1 slammed the singer, claiming that by asking for money on social media, he is not behaving like an A-list singer.

While others appear to be enjoying the cruise, one netizen who was not pleased with Davido’s decision criticized the singer for asking fellow celebrities and individuals to send him money.

He stated that Davido should begin portraying the characteristics of a high-profile musician, while stating that artists such as Burna Boy, Wizkid, and others would never do so.

The tweet reads: “Davido should start acting like the A list celebrity he is, asking fans for money and calling out people to send you money on social media seems degrading to me. You can’t see Jay- Z, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Wizkid and Burna Boy pull stunts like that. Never!”
