Professor Henry Ugboma, a member of Wike’s transition committee in 2015, has accused the Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike of setting an agenda to discredit his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi.

Ugboma stated that tarnishing Amaechi’s image was Wike’s number one agenda even before his inauguration as governor of the state, The Punch reported, citing an interview it monitored on Arise TV on Monday, April 12.

Ugboma who is now the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital said Wike’s plot against Amaechi was one of the reasons he (Ugboma) left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Ugboma also alleged that Wike made efforts to ensure Amaechi did not get the chance to serve in President Buhari’s cabinet.

However, the Rivers state government in its reaction has denied all the allegations.
