Man Stabs Wife to Death For Moving out of his House to Get Her Own Place.

A man murdered his wife by stabbing her with a knife.

According to the Adamawa State Police Command, Muhammad Alfa, a 57-year-old commercial driver, stabbed his 40-year-old wife to death after she moved out of his house to get her own place.

According to a statement issued by DSP Suleiman Nguroje, the suspect, Muhammed Alfa, a resident of Lande B Village in the Gombi local government area, allegedly stabbed his late ex-wife, Hamsatu Muhammad, with a knife following a minor argument that resulted in “divorce and separation.”

”The wife relocated to a separate house close to her former house. In an effort to fix her new room, she removed a zink door of her former house to fix her new apartment.Angered by her action, the Suspect used knife and stabbed his divorced wife and mother of his children on the neck,as a result of which, she fell down, became unconscious and was rushed to the Hospital where she was confirmed dead.” Nguroje said.

According to the police spokesperson, the suspect was apprehended by the police in Gombi Divisional Headquarters after a report was received from one Jauro Babangida Boka, a village head. He stated that the investigation has revealed that the suspect had eight children with the deceased prior to the heinous incident.

He went on to say that the state Commissioner of Police, CP Mohammed Ahmed Barde, psc(+), has ordered a discreet investigation into the matter and has also advised members of the public to refrain from taking the law into their own hands. He went on to say that the police chief has also ordered the suspect’s immediate prosecution in order to deter others from doing the same.
