Leo Messi WINS A RECORD 7TH BALLON D’OR

PSG forward Leo Messi has won the most coveted Ballin D’or Award for a record 7th time.

ThePSG forward Lionel Messi received the award on Monday night in Paris after another record-breaking year for club and country; Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski, who was a favorite for the award in 2020 before it was canceled due to Covid, finished second in the vote.

Messi, who left Barcelona as a free agent in the summer to join Paris Saint-Germain, received the award for best men’s footballer in the world on Monday night in Paris after another record-breaking year for club and country.

The PSG forward previously won the award in 2019, as the previous year’s edition was canceled due to Covid. Messi was also named Ballon d’Or winner in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2015.

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski finished second in the vote, despite being the favorite to win the Ballon d’Or in 2020.
