Hoodlums Attack Police Check Point in Ogun

Hoodlums have attacked an Ogun police checkpoint, injuring one and carting away rifle. The hoodlums ambushed police officers at a roadblock on the Obasanjo-Itele route in Ogun State’s Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area and stole an AK-47 weapon.

According to our source, the incident occurred on Sunday about 3:11 a.m., when some suspected hoodlums attacked the officers on duty.

According to our source, the police squad was commanded by ASP Nasiru Azeez, who was accompanied by Inspector Olabisi Lawrence and Inspector Atari Friday.

According to the Punch News paper, Friday was injured in the head while the hoodlums seized his AK-47 gun and fled.

The AK-47 weapon with Breach No. 804611 was “carted away with 30 rounds of live ammunition,” The Punch reported.

While the injured officer was being treated at the State Hospital in Ota, the police are claimed to be working to recover the lost gun.
