High rise Building Collapses in Lagos.

A 25-story building still under construction has collapsed in Ikoyi Lagos.

Many individuals are said to be trapped when the building collapsed in Lagos State’s Ikoyi neighborhood on Monday.

The incident occurred a few minutes after 2 p.m., according to reports.

Nosa Okunbo, a spokesperson for the Lagos State Emergency Agency, verified the collapse, adding, “A 25-story building collapsed near Musliu Junction in Ikoyi, Lagos.”

“LASEMA is on top of things.”Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, Director-General of LASEMA, also stated that heavy-duty equipment and life detection equipment have been deployed to the spot.

While giving an update, Oke-Osanyintolu said, “Collapsed Building at Gerard Road, Ikoyi: The agency has activated its emergency response plan to the above incident.

“All first responders are en route to secure the scene while the heavy-duty equipment and life detection equipment have been dispatched.”
