Gov. Ugwuanyi of Enugu State Signs Anti-open Grazing Bill into Law.

Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has signed the anti-open grazing bill into law at the Government House in Enugu.

The Enugu State House of Assembly has enacted a measure to restrict open grazing, control cattle ranching, and for other related objectives.

Remember that after the bill was passed, the Leader of the House, Rt. Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu, explained that it would be referred to as the “Prohibition of Open Grazing and Cattle Ranching Law of Enugu State” after the governor’s assent.

Following this signing, Enugu State can be said to have added to the number southern states that have now signed an anti Open Grazing bills into laws. Recall that Lagos State, Rivers State, Ondo state already have similar laws.

Experts say the law signed by Gov. Ugwuanyi, is anticipated to boost security and tranquillity in the state.
