Dubai Expo 2020; Top radio hosts seek new partnership for African Artists.

Top radio hosts from Africa, the US and the UK are pushing for a new partnership that will help artistes from the continent to build brands that will last.

They described the Afrozons Soundoff show coming up on Monday 7th of March in Dubai as a rebirth for the African music especially the Afrobeat genre.

The radio personalities said although African music is doing well, more needs to be done to push it across borders.

A US based radio host, Bay Bay in an interview, asked African artistes not to focus more on their challenges as the colleagues in the US are going through similar struggles.

He advised them to build relationships with others.
On the plan to give Kenyan artistes 75 percent airplay and musicians from other countries 25 percent, a radio host from Kenya, Mwahimu Rahcel justified the action of her country’s government.

She said it was a deliberate move to enable the Kenyan musicians to catch up.
