Bandits issue quit notice to five villages in Plateau state,orders them to leave or risk war.

Reports say residents of Sabon Zama, Gindin Dutse, Anguwan Tsohon Soldier, Anguwan Yuhana, and Anguwan Mangu villages in Plateau State’s Wase Local Government Area have been served with eviction notices by bandits.

Residents told the Daily Trust that masked gunmen stormed the communities and ordered them to leave within five days or risk war.

On Tuesday, June 28, Ubale Pinau, a resident of Pinau, a village 11 kilometers from Wase, told the publication that the gunmen threatened to attack the area, advising residents to leave or face the consequences.

According to him, many residents have begun to flee to Pinau and other larger towns for safety.

When contacted, Major Ishaku Takwa, the spokesperson for Operation Safe Haven, stated that he was unaware of the resignation notice.
