Anambra 2021; Tension as IPOB Declares Sit-at-home on Election Day

The November 6th Governorship Election in Anambra State may encounter a fresh setback as the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has proclaimed absolute lockdown in all states in the South East from November 5 to November 10, in order to push the federal government to release its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

This was said in a statement made on Saturday by its media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful.

The Anambra gubernatorial election has been scheduled for November 6, 2021 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Kanu’s case is scheduled to be heard on November 4th.
